WIN a 4 Night Break for 2 people to Austria

WIN a 4 Night Break to Austria for 2 people*

We’ve teamed up with to give you the chance to WIN an unforgettable 4 night break to Austria for 2 people, including Alpbachtal Seenland Cards* giving you free access to numerous travel, sports, museum and recreation services plus discounts on many more.

An authentic taste of the Tirol

Known as Austria’s most beautiful village, with picturesque houses dotting a valley awash in wildflowers and surrounded by dramatic peaks, Alpbach enchants visitors with its genuine Austrian hospitality and ‘living traditions’. Its gorgeous scenery also makes this region a real gem for walking and hiking, and the friendly locals you’ll encounter on the trails only serves to highlight this favoured pastime. Nothing complements a healthy day outside better than some tasty fare to be found at Alpbach’s many family-run farms, inns, bakeries and breweries. This part of western Austria is well-known for its regional delicacies such as hay milk cheese (and any cheese-related product for that matter!) bacon, schnapps, and the Brandenburg Prügeltorte biscuit cake. Amaze your friends at home with your new culinary skills after watching an apple strudel demonstration!

Outdoor activities in a spectacular variety of scenery

Hiking in the rugged Rofan Range or through the gentle grassy hills of the Kitzbüheler Alps – the Alpbachtal Seenland offers both – delightful tours and challenging treks to mountain peaks. Walking in the Tyrolean Alps can do worlds of good for one’s health.

Depending on one’s fitness and Alpine walking experience the Alpbachtal has plenty of hiking options for each individual such as easy trails in the Inn Valley, high altitude paths or mountain trekking and rock climbing in the Rofan Range. The Alpbach Valley is home to over 900 kilometres marked walking paths and hiking trails. Three mountain lifts make access to the varied hiking areas easier.

Several theme paths can be found in the Alpbachtal Seenland: information boards with puzzles and exercise instructions that facilitate learning and concentration abilities are positioned along the “Leichter Lernen Wanderweg“; an exciting walk – not only for children.

For all those who prefer to walk in the company of an experienced guide the Alpbachtal Seenland offers guided walks. From Monday to Friday there is a choice of a minimum of 1 or 2 walks; free of charge. The experienced guide leads walkers on hikes through Alpbach or Reith im Alpbachtal, to Lake Zirein – the idyllically set lake in the Rofan Range – through nature to discover and learn about plants and herbs and their properties or to the 1.898 metre high Gratlspitz.
